Tibet

Tibet has always been  a land of mystery and isolation, inspiring travellers and explorers  from all over world to undertake enormous risks. In 1904 sir Francis young- husband and the British expeditionary force overcome great hazards and  forced their way through to the forbidden holy city Lhasa. Today Tibet is just a little easier to visit as the border  between Nepal and Tibet has opened to tourists.
Travelling  in Tibet remains arduous, rough, cold and almost foodless, but incredibly rewarding. By taking our  own food luxuries we can minimise the inevitable discomforts and enjoy a most spectacular experience. Since the  1920s  and 1930s, when all Everest expeditions were from the Tibetan side, the northern ramparts of the Himalayas have remained closed until very recently. As a result of this isolation there  is very little current information on trekking in this fascinating  region.
